President Trump stated on Truth Social on the 2nd that he has no intention of forcing Iran back to the negotiating table, noting that the U.S. currently has near-total control of the Strait of Hormuz while Iran’s economy is in total collapse.
Trump wrote: “I am not trying to force Iran back to the negotiating table, as Fake News ABC reported. I couldn’t care less if they sign a deal that is worthless to them. I prefer our current position: we have near-total control of the Strait of Hormuz, and their economy is in total collapse. They are just delaying the inevitable. When will the people of Iran rise up?”
